Reformatting WordPress

Finally! A smacking new layout featuring the one and only…me! *broomed* Believe it or not, this was actually supposed to be a sad layout. Like the basic design would be the same (inspired by the design I created today for a client site in Guided Research), but the cover girl was supposed to be Vivian Hsu smiling in a melancholy way. Ended up using myself instead. Either way, I’m quite pleased with the result of this theme, mostly due to the complicated (according to my standards) coding.

I also got rid of the WP-based page navigation, and if you look at the sidebar, you’ll see how similar it is to those of Infinitive’s. That’s because I pretty much copy-and-pasted the whole thing over. The content will also be written manually instead of on WP (because I seriously hate how WP sorts the pages), but chances are most of the things will just be moved over from Infinitive. The only new addition to the site is the portfolio section, which I will start working on after the college applications are done with.

Speaking of college aps, I finally handed in my teacher recommendation envelopes to Ms. Edwards. Actually, I only handed in 2, but the rest don’t really have a early action deadline (or I missed it), so I’m not too worried. Life is good (it’s FRIDAY YO! *quote from Jenny Her*)

EDIT// WordPress is evil. Seriously. I can’t make my own pages because of the whole themes and headers and footers stuff. GAH. Seriously considering switching out of WP. I simply don’t have the patience to figure everything out (in other words, is lazy). I liked b2 better. Or any other blogging system for that matter.
…but I like the tag hack! ;_;
Much thanks to Liberta for providing a tutorial on how to link themes with static pages! <3

    Hooray for you for getting your layout converted into your theme… I’m still having trouble with mine! *tears at hair* You’re right, though, the Liberta Tut was awesome! You could try WP Designer, too. :)

    To Ai: Thanks! Good luck with yours too! I’ll take a look at WP Designers the next time I need help :)
