Say hello to Shelly
Living on my own, 7000 miles away from my parents is pretty cool for the most part, and at first I was worried that I’d get lonely when I’m at home by myself, the dilemma was solved when Shelly showed up in my life
Shelly is my 1-year old domestic short hair cat. My boyfriend adopted her from a lady who had more cats than she knew how to deal with. So Cookie 1, once an outdoors only cat, became my Shelly2, all while I was still in Taiwan. Seriously, if it weren’t for the fact that I had her to look forward to, I might have just stayed in Taiwan for good instead.
My boyfriend and I never really thought of ourselves as cat people3, but Shelly definitely changed our minds. Sure I’ve gotten my fair share of clawing and scratching, but the moment she starts purring and cuddling, I just give in. She’s also surprisingly good at keeping company. Whether I’m in my room on my laptop or watching TV in the living room, she’ll always stay close by, if not on my lap
You know, now that I have a cat, I can see why people would want to own 5 or even 10 of these pets. They’re a lot more interesting and affectionate than you’d expect!Error processing request
