Slots, cupcakes, and Tiffany

Why am I not surprised that I totally went off the radar when school started this semester? Despite the fact that I’m only taking 15 credits (as opposed to 21 my junior year), I’m actually more stressed and doing less well I blame senioritis and the fact that I got into grad school. Why try as hard if your undergrad GPA isn’t going to matter much anymore?

Anyways, I was on spring break last week, and I meant to update then, but seriously, 1 week is not enough to unwind and relax after a poopload of exams and papers, so I intended to take full advantage of every free moment I had. Thursday right after my last midterm, I headed to Atlantic City with my boyfriend for a weekend getaway. Now I would have photos, but being the moron I am, I forgot my camera twice¹. Good thing I had a decent camera on my phone:

We played slots, and I must have hit at least 5 of these 777 combos. We spent around $200 and won an additional $80ish.

Some of our friends came Friday night, so we got to hang out with them and check out The Pool After Dark, a fancy club held right at Harrah’s swimming pool area. The place was damn pretty, but the DJ was also proportionally lame. I think we had more fun getting food afterwards. Oh well.

I got to catch up with friends during the break, which was nice, since it felt like I had no free time during the semester. The rest of the time I spent sleeping and lounging, considering how much AC wore me out. It must be a sign I’m getting old, and the fact that I turned 23 last Friday didn’t help At least my presents were nice?

My boyfriend surprised me with a visit to my house at exactly 12am, March 25th, with a balloon and cupcakes from Georgetown Cupcakes

My parents took me out to dinner the night before my birthday, since my boyfriend already reserved me for the 25th, . He took me to one of the best Peking Duck restaurants in the DC area, Peking Gourmet Inn. Apparently former President Bush loved that place so much they had a bullet-proof room built just for him

That night my boyfriend also gave me my actual birthday presents, Burberry Brit Sheer perfume and a Tiffany charm necklace. He was going to get me the Urban Decay Naked palette, but then he saw me using it at AC and he had to go return it and get the perfume instead, haha.

It was a good birthday, with lots of lovely presents, but I’m just too lazy to take pictures of them all So with that, spring break came to an end for me, and now it’s back to the grind. It’s safe to say/assume that I won’t be posting until after graduation, so until then!Error processing request

The first time was going home and leaving my camera in the school apartment. The second time was when my boyfriend stopped by my apartment so I could pick it up, amongst some other stuff, and I STILL managed to forget it. Ultra fail. ↩

Oh my, 21 credits in one semester?! I'm assuming each class is 3 cred so you took 7 classes?!

Oh gosh, I dont even want to mention the word GPA. I'm doing so bad right now in my sophomore year. I blame the school for changing our business education curriculm starting with my year so we're like the guinea pigs for testing the new system BLAH. But I'm pretty sure I'll still get into grad school!

Don't you just wish spring break is longer? Ugh, I swear spring break passed like a breeze for me. Way to short to do anything!

Happy late birthday! It's good to hear you had a great time seeing how the last time you went out at night you got spit at ~ AND 21 CREDITS? The max at my school is 18 unless we get approval. You must have been crazy your junior year. Congrats on getting into grad school though ! Where are you going for grad school?

Wah, my 21st birthday is coming up in May and I have no idea what to do. I would like to have a small dinner like you did, but you only turn 21 once. Have any suggestions? Or is turning 21 overrated ?

I don't have good luck playing the slots, except when I'm drunk in Vegas. One time I put in a $20 and won $80. haha!

I wanted the naked palette, but it's sold out everywhere here. That perfume is awesome. I'm on my second bottle. Really freaking expensive though!

I've been craving Peking duck for awhile now. There aren't any decent Chinese restaurants anywhere near where I live. It's like living in a nice food desert.

yay for grad school! 21 credits?! I can barely handle 14 along with my internship. 21 is crazy. I knooooow. SB should be a week and a half at least but then thats the point where you start to forget stuff .

Belated Happy Birthday as well! I've never been big on cupcakes (but maybe it's just 'cause the ones I've had aren't really that good to begin with), but if that is a cookies & cream one in the top middle, then those look yummy. Lol.
