Stila beauty haul

I first fell in love with Stila Cosmetics when I saw the gorgeous packaging in a catalog at the age of 9. However, it wasn’t until 11 years later when I purchased my first products from them, and ever since then, I’ve tried the following products, and the ones in bold are my HG makeup items:

smudge pots in black
lip glaze in guava
brush #4 (eyeliner)
jade blossom hair refreshner
all over shimmer powder in cream (flakes too easily)

I took advantage of BeautyCrunch‘s super Stila sale + free shipping, and I just got my package today. I purchased:

it gloss in inviting
it gloss in sweet
all over glow in peachy keen
eyes and shine smudge pot trio
get fabulous for fall set in chocolate (3 shadows, 1 blush, a necklace, lip glaze in grapefruit, and major lash mascara)
golden glow set (sheer tinted moisturizer spf 15 in bronze, sun spf 15 bronzing powder, eye shadow trio in golden glow, convertible eye color dual shadow and liner in port, lip glaze in spiced rum, and fiber optics mascara)

All the above for just $51.75. Apparently that’s over than $120-something in discounts! Unfortunately, the stupid UPS guys had to be all rough, and the luminizing powder for my all over glow in peachy keen cracked, and being too lazy to return it, I fixed it myself. To repair your cracked eyeshadow, blush, or pressed powder, all you need to do is add a couple drops of alcohol until the powder turns to paste. Then simply spread the paste back into the compact and let the alcohol evaporate. The result might look a little ugly, but it sure beats having to throw your favorite makeup away.

I’m not sure what I’ll do with all the makeup, but I’m definitely keeping the first 4 for myself. As for the 2 sets, I might give them away or um, be stingy and hoard it even though I already have way too much makeup.Error processing request

I don’t have my own makeup. Usually I just borrow what my mom has and ask her to put my makeup on if ever there’s a special occasion. I didn’t know you could restore cracked pressed powder or whatever on your own. I wasn’t aware of that alcohol trick. Coolness Thanks for sharing that!

I used to do that as a child, but I never liked the packaging of my mom's makeup. The glittery (and cheap) packaging of drugstore brands attracted me more.

Yeah, it’s great you know the tip to repair the cosmetics (thumbs up). I love shiny powder too, especially if it’s silver in colour. I don’t wear any cosmetics at all unless when there are formal occasions, the most I put on are lip gloss or maybe a dark eyeliner. I plan on getting black nail polish someday.

I usually don't use makeup on school days unless I'm in an extra good mood and have lots of time on my hands, . But even then, the most would be eyeliner, mascara, blush, and lip gloss. …That sounds like a lot already!

I like earth/neutral tones because they work well in all occasions. I also have more vibrant colors for special occasions, and like you, lip gloss + blush + eye liner + occasionally mascara = win.

I’m already 22 but I still don’t have my own makeup and I only wear makeups on special occasions. Good for you, that’s a huge discount! I didn’t know about restoring cracked powders and blushes using alcohol. Thanks for sharing.
