The Better Business Bureau Is Your Friend

How do you know a company reeks of butt and crap? By the people that represent them. I don’t like confrontations, especially not over a measly (or not so measly considering the state of the economy right now) $12, but when your lousy customer support keep copying and pasting the exact same “standard” (aka bullshit) reply, then yeah, FEE FI FO FUM, I’m out for blood:
Our records show that your issue has already been resolved. The refund for $11.99 was generated on December 11, 2008. These funds are no longer in our possession. Please contact your financial institution with the following information:
Order Number: 000KHJJM-121108 (which links to a dead page and is absolutely useless)
Date: December 11, 2008 from eMusic.comThey will be able to let you know the details of this transaction
In other words:
We actually didn’t refund your money, but we’re going to say we did anyways and then blame it on someone else for losing it. Too bad for you! Now stop bothering me, I’m trying to get to the next level of text twister. What 9-letter word can you spell out with the letters O, B, N, O, X, I, O, U, S? Hmm…
For 3 weeks I dealt with their insolence and stupidity to the point where I just cracked. I told them that if they keep withholding my money, I was going to report them to the Better Business Bureau. They got all cheeky with me and told me that they’ll “help” by forwarding their information to them as well. Yeah right, the only thing they’ll be forwarding is their lazy asses to Krispy Kreme for another donut.
I wrote to BBB on January 5th, and lo and behold, is that my $12 I see refunded to my Paypal account? I think so! Of course, I also told BBB I’d like an apology from eMusic for their poor excuse of a customer service, but meh, I think I’ll settle for just my money back
