WordPress 2.7
written on September 14, 2008 in Blogging
…is not out yet, but there are some features I’m looking forward to. You can find a complete list at the WP Development Updates, but I’m just going to list the ones that I like:
- New admin panel layout with better menus and navigation. Hopefully it’ll be something like what the Lighter Menus plugin does.
- Dragging and dropping of boxes in the write/edit pages. You can also remove those boxes now, in addition to collapsing and expanding them. Yay
- Inline editing of post and pages on your site’s pages. Yay for less clicking and convenience.
- Reply to comments from admin. I’m guessing it’ll be somewhat similar to what Better Comment Manager does.
- Threaded comments!
- Sticky posts. Again, one less plugin we need to install.
- Automatic upgrade of WordPress. This could be a good or bad, since there are files I have changed (like functions.php) that I don’t feel like re-doing each time I upgrade.
Overall I’m looking forward to 2.7 coming out, but it’s nothing I can’t wait for. What about you guys? Any particular features (that I listed or you found on the Dev Updates) that you’re looking forward to?Error processing request
